“Exe on the Beach” Brew Day

This Tuesday the Exe Valley Brewery brewed “Exe on the Beach”, the beer for Silverton Street Market 2019 – with assistance from some of the Street Market Committee! A light gold beer, brewed with local spring water using Maris Otter malt + Magnum, Cluster & Idaho 7 hops – at 3.9% abv it will be a very drinkable refreshing beer with tangy orange undertones. Can’t wait to try it! On that note, the official launch will be on Thursday 11th July 2019 6pm – 8pm at The Lamb Inn, Silverton – so everyone will have a chance to have a taste then.

Silverton Street Market is on Saturday 3rd August 2019 with a Beach Party theme this year. There will be over 100 stalls lining the village, selling everything from artisan bread to hand crafted pottery, and home made jams to antiques. We have bands lined up for the little rec next to the Square in the heart of the village, plus the usual suspects like Punch and Judy, face painting, bouncy castles, etc. There will also be lots of eat and drink, including pizzas, burgers, crepes, donuts, and of course the Exe Vallery Brewery themselves and our infamous Prosecco bar. We round things off for the day events with our traditional Tug-of-War. Finally, there’s a separate evening event (tickets only, available in the Spar in the village) to round things off – for those who still have the energy!
