Things to do at Street Market – The Events Page

Every year we aim to provide a great day out for the family. In fact Silverton Street Market has been called: “The best day out in Devon”. Each year our most popular attractions come back. Each year we feature new talent.

Dan the Hat has been coming to Street Market for several years now and established himself as a favourite. Click here to see a video of Dan in action at Street Market 2016
Jungle Jim is new to Street Market in 2017 but there’s no doubt he’ll go down a storm! Jim is rated as one of the world’s best ventriloquists. For more information check out his website and take a a look at this video.

The Street Market has always had bouncy castles and this year will not be an exception. Funtasia will once again be providing and staffing them. We will have an assault course and a rodeo bull so stay on the bucking bronco for as long as you can!

On the Old Hall Site a little way up Fore Street opposite the Silverton Inn, the Crediton Town Band will perform.

There will also be buskers performing in various locations up and down the street.

Luke Brown is coming all the way from Barnstaple. He pays guitar and sings self-penned songs.

Sanguine are a four piece female fronted alternative metal/rock band from Exeter. They will be performing “unplugged” at one of the busking venues.

If your tastes tend towards beautifully played acoustic guitar then look out for Cliff Jones again at the Busking Venues.

The Somerset Paddies will be performing their fairly unique blend of music from Ireland and Somerset outside the Lamb Inn at various times during the day. Check out the Lamb’s website or their Facebook page for updates.

Also on the Old Hall Site will be two choirs. Firstly Global Harmony who hail from Exeter but have members from Silverton.
